Whytecliff Park Elopement

Last summer I had the privilege of capturing a magical golden hour Elopement in one of the most versatile places to elope in Vancouver, Whytecliff Park. This Whytecliff Park Elopement was beyond magic. Before the day of the Elopement I met with the bride and groom. We walked around the park, and decided on various locations and a loose timeline for photos. We decided on a variety of locations and to have most of the photos taken during golden hour. I was so excited celebrate their love, they were so clearly head over heels for each other.

The day of the elopement was extremely warm, a nice breeze coming in off the ocean. You could hear small waves crashing in the background, and smell warm air and lilacs. The first look was very emotional and was one of my favourite parts of this elopement. I especially love the photos of the groom waiting in anticipation, and the brides equally excited expression. The ceremony was extremely intimate and took place tucked away within the trees overlooking the famous rock face associated with Whytecliff Park. This elopement was a photographers dream, I captured memories and moments that really encapsulated the couples love for each other. The bride and groom read their vows privately to each other on the beach separate from the ceremony location. Their vows were perfect, it’s as if no one else existed while they were reading them.

Elopements are so unique and special to each individual couple, there’s no rules, no obligations, it’s just you and your partner. If you’re unsure of a location for your elopement, you should definitely consider Whytecliff Park in Vancouver BC. This is the perfect spot for the ideal west coast wedding, with it’s combination of forest, ocean and mountains. If you’re lucky you might have a cute seal join your ceremony like these two did.
